There are a number of programs available

To lose weight fast and safe, you need to start out with the end in

mind. This means that you need to set specific goals for your weight

loss, make a plan for losing weight and keep focused on what you want

your end result to be. Think about it; if you wanted to take a trip to

the beach (to show off your new flat tummy) you would pick a specific

beach (your goal), and would get directions (your plan) to that beach.

So, first things first. You need to set a specific goal to lose

weight fast and safe. The first thing that might come to mind is a

specific body part, and your goal might sound something like “lose tummy

fat”, or “lose arm fat”, maybe even “lose thigh fat”. Unfortunately,

this type of goal is not specific enough (and no matter how may ab

exercises you do, you cannot “spot reduce” body fat). To be a specific

goal, it has to be something you can measure. That way you can track

your progress, keep yourself motivated and know when something is or

isn’t working.

An example of a specific goal would be a weight on the scale, a body

fat percentage, or a measurement around certain body parts like your

waist, thighs, hips, and upper arms. Part of any good plan is tracking

your progress and setting a goal will be much easier if you have a

starting point to work from. Make your goal reasonable, and give it a

deadline. Structure your goal like this: I will weigh 150 lbs. and have

16% body fat by April 30, 2011. If you repeat this goal to yourself

every morning, and visualize yourself having reached your goal, your

subconscious mind will help keep you on track and you will start to see

fast healthy weight loss.

Step number two is to find a healthy weight loss program. You might

think that this would be different for a man and a woman, since a man

might be trying to lose a beer belly or lose chest fat, and a woman

might be looking to lose leg fat, or trying to lose fat in the upper

arm. Of course, both men and women want to eat great and lose weight.

And in reality, a successful program will be virtually the same for men

and women. Keep in mind, the focus of the program should be healthy fat

loss, not just weight loss.

So how do you choose a weight loss program that gives you quick fat

loss, teaches you the food that burns fat, and shows you all of the

great flat tummy exercises to get your abs in shape for bathing suit

season?

There are a number of programs available. They all will work, to some

degree, as long as you have a specific goal set. However, it is best to

research, and see what others have to say about a program before you

get too far into it and find it isn’t giving you the results you need.
